The burgers and fries are really good. The quality of the burgers is top notch. The perfect burger. The staff is friendly and the wait is never long. The dine-in area accommodates about 45 persons. Try the Philly Cheese Steak,delicious. There is a parking structure so parking isn't a hassle. Johnny Rockets is on the 3rd floor next to Jinya Ramen.

This place is big on sauces offered which all were good.

Overall excellent experience. Staff was efficient, competent and eager to please. Food was great, but the milkshake could have been a little more solid. I also quite enjoyed the interior design.

Great food at a reasonable price

A great place to eat in Old Town Los Angeles, CA! I am a regular that eats here daily. I highly recommend the food here.

I really enjoyed this place and loved the old vibe. Food was great and the service perfect. Kids had a ball.

Long queue but the food is average and service varies from average to bad. The waiter assigned to our group simply take orders quickly and assumed everyone knows what they are ordering and did not offer any suggestions. The waiter on the other side interacted more with customers and offer menu suggestions. It is also frustrating to see other customers coming in via the exit door and seat themselves at the bar skipping the queue :(

The fittings are good and I was expecting good food. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The sandwiches could barely meet that made by street side stalls in taste. $5 (tax not included) for a breakfast sandwich that has nothing but one egg is way too pricey. I regret not going to Starbucks.

Our food arrived quickly, the fries first and within 5 minutes of ordering and were hot and crispy. I had the bacon cheddar burger-fabulous. Our waiter, Arnie was amazingly friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Had dinner here with the extended family and made some great memories. We enjoyed the staff and their hospitality. The food was good and the atmosphere was great.

Everything about this place was off the charts the customer service, the ambiance, and the food!!! You can not go wrong here, the price was more than fair for the quality and delicious food. The service was exceptionally friendly.

It was 9$ for a pretty small hamburger and that didn't even come with fries. If I'm going to pay 9 bucks for a burger it had better be a really nice burger or at least come with a side. Instead I got a burger that basically tasted like it was from McDonalds. However, our waiter was really nice. He was super apologetic we had to wait. Otherwise, I probably won't go back to a Johnny Rockets, which sucks because it has the same name as me :(

If a lady comes to your table and wants to take a picture of you, say no. She charges for the photos!! Service here was slow and needs improvement. Food was good but kind of expensive. I do believe that it's one of the better and cheaper restaurants to eat in if you're on a budget and visiting Hollywood and Highland.

Fine burger with lovely staff

We got questioned about our service animals (dogs) in a stroller. Having to show proper identification for the service dogs. The state of California law says proof is not required, however Johnny Rockets made a big issue and tell us we HAD to show proof. The burgers were very greasy and the napkins weren't very big to handle the greasy burgers. The bacon cheese fries were too hard for my husband to eat. And then we had to wait a long time to just get the bill for our order.

This place is way too expensive. We had 5 adults and split 1 hamburger, 1 BLT and 1 salad with 3 drinks for 70 dollars. Also there was a photographer who right there as we were biting into our food wanted to take pictures of us. Not just one but she wanted us to get up and move and take pics. All the while our 70 dollar meal was getting cold . THEN she came back while we were still trying to eat and wanted us to pay 40 dollars for these pictures we didn't wanna take in the first place. This restaurant has okay good but terrible atmosphere. The photo people and prices really take away from the great food they have. I would recommend you stay away unless you want to be harassed while trying to eat.

Epic food, epic waiter, what's not to like? This is the best place ever

I tried the breakfast combo of denver, scramble eggs, cheese and bacon and coffee.The portion size was huge but delicious.

I was lird to by server Marvin and management about the honnoring of my Promotional offer asking me to come in for my first time. They tried everything possible to have me leave because i was a cheap table that could be occupied by someone else. Not to mention Marvin also adds his own tip on receipt..

I tried this location first when in Vegas and found San Antonio also had one. The first time I've ever been left a great impression. Decent place to get a burger and shake, it is a tad bit pricey but it is a decent meal and fulfilling as well.

Terrible service. Stood at the door for 5 minutes before I had to walk to a server to ask if there is a table for one. Food was alright. Again service is really really terrible. They asked me to move seats just to accommodate larger group of customers, cause they get more money that way. Food is overpriced. I sat in front of the bar and saw the way they prepared the burgers, pretty disgusted.

Came here in 2004 and had breakfast most days. The breakfast options and service was great. Then returned in 2011 this time to have brunch. Food was fantasticFinally returned to this place in 2018 as a homage. One of the greatest places I have ever eaten atWhen I visit a Johnny Rockets, when the food comes out I'm always silent! Why? Because it's so good!Johnny Rockets has the atmosphere of a retro diner, which appears to be a common theme among restaurants in the USA.It is a very fun and family friendly place to eat at.The menu has something to suite everyones needs, whether you want a nice slim burger with fries, or a big dirty juicy burger with fries loaded with cheese and bacon.The quality of the food is amazing.The service from the team is always spot on!While getting your food can be slow at times, the staff members make up for it!Highly recommend Johnny Rockets, and hope someday they'll expand and take over Australia.

Good place to quickly get some food between tours!

This location is really small and kind of run down. The food is the same great Johnny Rockets you've come to expect but at a 40% mark up due to the location. I'd definitely recommend another restaurant given the cost and considering that LA is full of more unique places to eat at comparable prices.

I hope the manager or the boss can see this command. The food was great and we did enjoy it. However, when we saw the bill of our lunch, we surprisedly found that the waiter wrote the amount of tips which we had to gave to him by himself. Without asking our permission . We felt very uncomfortable about this. We chose to pay the total amount he wrote in the end. We thought this is the worse. No, it was not. The worst was the waiter took 10 dollars away from our changes. My wife decided to asked why the changes was short of 10 dollars. At first,the waiter insisted that was the correct amount. After my wife surely told him there was 10 dollars short and he unwilling to returned 10 back to us. This totally ruined our lunch. We felt it is a discrimination all because we are Asian ?

Terrific burger. Done to order. Crispy on the outside and delicious. Fries are salted with big grain salt and are also crispy and delicious. My vanilla shake was served with the big stainless mixer cup. Yum all around. My meal was $22 before tip. Not bad for Hollywood.

Food is great, only if you are okay spending 13 dollars on a burger. I had the spicy houston chicken burger. It was delicious, but definitely burnt a hole in my pocket.

Had a very awesome family diners experience here at the Johnny Rockets! The waiter is very friendly gave us good recommendation on food and gave us an discount since we didn’t want to get refill drinks! Also we were unfamiliar with the location for the next taking metro. The waiter gave us good, cheap way to travel which was very helpful!

A must visit spot with the real American 50's experience. Great shakes and burgers.

I’ve saw this place everywhere during my travels and the Hollywood branch happened to be the location I chose. Service was amazing, food was on point and portion was good. I have a massive appetite and I was full. I couldn’t believe it, I was messaging everyone telling them this is the spot haha. Not to forget the subtle touch of a happy ketchup face, it honestly made me smile.

Second time I went there after over a year, completely forgot how bad it was! Starting from the service, the athmosphere and most importantly the food!!! Never had anything as disgusting! Had a chilly dog and fries, the chilly, was some awful sweet brown sauce, even the dog and the bun were uneatable! Was so bad it was making me sick! So if you happen to be in Hollywood, I would NOT reccomend you go there..

Good burger! Very friendly kitchen and behind-the-bar staff. "Waiter", believe his name is George, had no interest in being there, seating customers, giving menus, or generally waiting his tables.
